Bound autograph manuscript in an unknown hand containing detailed instructions for the preparation and use of paint colors. Includes several references to Nicholas Hilliard and quotes some of his "recetes," indicating the manuscript was derived from Hilliard's Treatise Concerning the Arte of Limning. Followed by sections: The Golden Art of Gold; Treating of Precious Stones; and The Art of the Goldsmith. Contains tables.
